Fly like a crane, pounce like a tiger, and roll like a monkey! This seminar, structured for kids and limber adults, will focus on the more &#8220;acrobatic&#8221; aspects of the animal systems. The workshop will cover how to integrate animal mindsets and movements into your practice. You&#8217;ll also learn a short animal form.</p>
<p><em>The Fighting 5: Tiger, Crane, Snake, Leopard, Monkey</em><br />
1.45-3:30pm<br />
The second seminar will focus specifically on the martial aspects of different animal systems. In addition to practicing different animal techniques in both classical and modern concepts, this workshop also focuses on the hows and whys of transitioning between the different animal personas.</p>

<p>The  11th New England Martial Arts Camp will be held on August 13,2011, hosted by Sensei/Sifu/Guro Raffi Derderian of the <em><a href="http://www.damajkd.com/welcome.html" target="_blank">Derderian Academy of Martial Arts</a>.</em></p>
<p>This is an adult  (16 years and up) only camp that allows people from all over the Northeast area (and beyond) to come together for a weekend of learning. Students of traditional and non traditional martial arts attend.</p>
<p>The seminars will be the beautiful Crown Plaza Hotel in Warwick, RI, in a 4000 sq. ft. banquet room.</p>

<p>This year’s <strong>Renaissance Martial Arts Festival</strong> will be November   6th and 7th. For more than ten years we’ve gathered our closest  martial  friends together to share their arts in a friendly and open  environment  travelling from up and down the east coast and as far away  as  California to teach at this event.</p>
<p>This year will feature a mix of new and old faces, with most   instructors teaching two sessions. There will also be at least one   intensive round-robin session as well where multiple instructors will   team-teach, building off of each other&#8217;s respective systems.</p>
<p>The festival participants experience new martial arts and learn ideas   and approaches that they can apply to their own practice. All arts and   experience levels are encouraged to participate.</p>
<p>The weekend is filled with numerous opportunities to receive hands   on, personal instruction in these arts. Meet and work with other martial   artists from the Rochester area. Saturday night features a group   dinner, offering another opportunity for participants and instructors to   mingle!</p>

<p>Registration for the festival begins at 7.00 am, on Saturday the 6th. Workshops run from 8.00 am – 5.30 pm.</p>
<p>Admission, which includes water and light refreshments, is $45 a day  or $80 for both days (the Dinner is <strong>not</strong> included&#8230; Price is TBD). There is a $15 discount for College  Students.  Please e-mail us about for group rates.
